This Privacy Policy explains how Alyes Apps (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use the FlashLearn mobile application (“the app”). By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Summary
FlashLearn is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not require you to create an account. Most learning data (progress, custom lessons, and settings) is stored locally on your phone or tablet.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Data Stored on Your Device
The app may store the following locally:
- Language and learning preferences
- Lesson progress, known/review counts, and study statistics
- Custom lessons you create or import
- Premium status (Remove Ads purchase flag)
This data remains on your device unless you delete the app or clear app data.
2.2. Photo Library Access (If You Grant Permission)
If you choose to import a lesson file from your photo library or files, the app accesses only the item you select. We do not browse your entire library in the background.
2.3. Camera Access (If You Grant Permission)
Some import flows on your device may offer the camera as a source. If you use it, the image or file you capture is used only for import purposes within the app.
2.4. Approximate Location (Advertising)
If you use the free version with ads, advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use approximate location or similar signals to show more relevant ads, subject to your device settings and applicable consent frameworks.
2.5. Purchase Information
In-app purchases (for example Remove Ads) are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment card details. We may store on your device that the purchase was completed so ads can be disabled.
2.6. Technical and Diagnostic Data
The app or platform services may collect anonymized technical data such as device model, OS version, crash logs, and performance data to keep the app stable. This data is not used to identify you personally by Alyes Apps.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide flashcard study, dictionary search, and lesson features
- Save your learning progress on your device
- Process and remember Remove Ads purchases
- Display advertisements in the free version (unless you purchased Remove Ads)
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data may be processed by third parties only as needed to operate the app, for example:
- Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases
- Google AdMob — banner advertising (free version)
- Google User Messaging Platform — ad consent where required
These providers handle data under their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
- On-device learning data is kept until you delete the app or reset app storage.
- Purchase entitlement is remembered on-device and may be restored via the app store’s restore flow.
- Advertising partners may retain data according to their own retention policies.
6. Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect information within our control. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure; you use the app at your own risk as permitted by law.
7. Children’s Privacy
The app is suitable for a general audience (rated 4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through a dedicated account system because the app does not require account registration. If you believe a child has contacted us with personal data, email us and we will address it.
8. Your Choices
- Revoke photo, camera, or location permissions in your device Settings
- Delete the app to remove locally stored data
- Purchase Remove Ads to stop banner advertisements
- Use Restore Purchases in Settings after reinstalling
9. International Users
If you use the app outside Turkey, your information may be processed on your device and by third-party services (such as Apple, Google, or ad networks) under their global infrastructure and policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted in the app or on this page.
